Sooo this week I have decided to revisit John Green by reading his latest book Paper Towns. As of now I have not finished it but after speaking with a friend I decided to check out the blog that he did with his brother in 2007 as my own supplemental material. I have watched all of the posts for January and plan to continue because they are hilarious. So I encourage anyone who hasn't to check it out at

I was geek enough to watch these vlogs on a daily basis for all of 2007. Then when John and Hank went on a national tour of libraries in the fall of 2008, I saw them live at the Ann Arbor District Library. So many teens showed up that they had to open up a second space in the library and Hank and John ran back and forth between the two rooms. Numerous kids showed up wearing homemade Nerdfighters t-shirts. One group of high school girls stood up and sang a song they wrote as tribute to the Nerdfighters cause. Adults (teen services librarians) were screaming for Hank and John, too. It was truly inspirational!
ReplyDeleteThey still make videos on John's website and on YouTube as vlogbrothers. They're hilarious!
